Graduation rates up at UC Davis

The University of California Davis will award an estimated 7,383 degrees during ceremonies during the next two weeks, slightly more than the 7,377 in the 2005-06 school year, according to university officials.

The degrees include bachelor's, master's and professional honors, including doctor of medicine and law degrees. The graduation figure includes students who graduated in December.

UC Davis will hold 12 graduation ceremonies, starting 10 a.m. Saturday with the School of Medicine at the Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts.

The university will offer live and on-demand webcasts of each commencement. A link to the commencement webcasts will be available at uc.davis.edu.
