Fairfield, Calif., February 4, 2008 — The Fairfield Redevelopment Agency announces an invitation to purchase 4.29 acres of Agency-owned real property. The site offers prime commercial and residential development opportunities and is at 2030 North Texas Street, the former Fairfield Bowl property. This site is in close proximity to residential neighborhoods and retail. The vacant property is east of the Interstate 80 and Interstate 680 junction, north of State Highway 12 and resides along a major arterial street in central Fairfield.

The Agency will allow the purchaser necessary time to obtain entitlements to develop the property. No sale price has been established for the property; however, information from previous appraisals is available through the Redevelopment Agency. Any proposed development must be attractive, financially feasible and consistent with the Agency’s goal of revitalizing the North Texas Street corridor.

Parties interested in purchasing the property can obtain a one-page Conceptual Proposal Form and Property Information Package from the Agency. Proposal review begins March 3, 2008 and will continue until May 15, 2008, unless an offer is accepted prior to May 15. Upon acceptance of an offer, the property will be sold through the Disposition and Development Agreement (DDA) process for redevelopment agency-owned property.

For a property information package, call 707-428-7461.
