Bridge/Bancor Housing Projects Approved

Bridge/Bancor Housing Projects Approved
By Ian Thompson

SUISUN CITY - Suisun City Councilmembers and Planning Commissioners gave their nod Tuesday to both a 69-house subdivision and a 94-apartment affordable housing project to be built on Railroad Avenue.

Bancor Properties of Livermore wants to build a housing project called The Courtyards at Sunset west of Sunset Avenue on land sandwiched between the Union Pacific Railroad and Railroad Avenue.

The affordable-housing apartment complex will be going up just east The Courtyards and will be a big step forward to getting Suisun City to meet its affordable housing requirement.

The council and planners met in joint session Tuesday night to move the affordable housing project forward as quickly as possible so it can apply for state funding before a March 10 deadline.

Once built, the apartments will be managed by Bridge Property Management of San Francisco.
