Homes may be new crop for orchard

An old Vacaville orchard could be close to becoming a new neighborhood by the end of today.
At its regular meeting tonight, the Vacaville Planning Commission will vote on proposed plans for 64 homes south of Fruitvale Road between Stinson Avenue and Pintail Drive in western Vacaville.

The Meadowood subdivision, proposed by DeNova Homes, was approved by the commission and the City Council in March. The actual plans for the homes now are under consideration. The council will not have to approve the plans.
