Unemployment Drops

Solano County's unemployment rate dropped from 4.5 percent in September to 4.2 percent in October.

Officials estimated last year that the unemployment rate would reach 5 percent. The job gains were in the farm, construction, leisure and hospitality industries. Jobs were lost in the professional, business, educational and health services. There we no changes in information, trade, transportation, government or financial activities related jobs.
