FAIRFIELD - The Solano Housing Coalition recently presented awards to members of the community who have worked to promote affordable housing in the region.
The awards went to David Burgess, a retired minister who has led the fight for affordable housing in Benicia; Lark Farrell, a city of Fairfield employee who was instrumental in the development of affordable housing units at Providence Walk and Peach Tree Estates; Dennis McCray, a nonprofit specialist who has been involved in the development of affordable housing for more than 30 years; and Steve Hanley, who owns Hanley Construction Co. and takes on projects for low-income homebuyers.
