FAIRFIELD - Children's Nurturing Project has received a $10,000 donation from Genentech, Inc. that will go toward the development of the CNP Special Needs Resource Center, according to a press release from the nonprofit agency.

Debbi Davis, executive director of CNP, stated in the release that the center will provide health resource information, Internet access, developmental screening, referrals and support for families who have children with special health and developmental needs.

Davis also stated that the center will begin in a room in CNP's office space at 1735 Enterprise Drive.

She added that CNP's goal is to transition to a larger facility and provide expanded services with future financial support.

CNP plans to hold a reception and open house in the spring to officially launch the center's opening, Davis stated.
