Unemployment increased in November

FAIRFIELD - The unemployment rate in Solano County increased from 4.2 percent in October to 4.6 percent in November.

According to a report by the Labor Market Information Division of the state Employment Development Department, the unemployment increase was below the estimated 5 percent predicted last year. The unadjusted unemployment rate was slightly higher than what was expected for California at 4.5 percent and still higher than the 4.3 percent expected for the nation in the same period.
